FAQs
What is Perform?
Perform is a challenging fitness program that combines exercises and nutrition to help you get stronger and healthier. It's a great way to improve your overall fitness and see results.
There's a particular emphasis on comradery and community that we love here at The Bar.
Can I bring my kids?
You most certainly can. Monday to Friday we offer a creche during our 9:30am class. There is an extra cost for this service.
Your kids 13 and over are also allowed to participate in classes. We are a very family friendly community. We have an area where the kids can hang out, watch you train and play together.
Do I have to be fit?
You most certainly DO NOT need to be fit to start at The Bar. You don't become fit to join, you join to become fit.
While movements might seem hard or intimidating at first, our experienced coaches will coach you through.
Do you have shower facilities
We do have shower/toilet facilities that are available to use for all members.
We also have a recovery room that you can book in to use (available to general public too)!
How much will it cost?
We have a variety of memberships available, ranging from $45-50 per week.
We have drop-in classes available.
Oh, and Fitness Passport members can also train with us at a reduced membership rate!
How many people come to each class?
We would average around 10-12 members each class, but it can fluctuate. Our class cap is 20 people per class during the week, and 30 for our partner workouts on Saturdays.

In the last 9 months my physical and mental health has changed so much, i have a glow that I have never had before.
I am so much happier, brighter, lighter and finally feel like after growing and nurturing three babies, gaining a lot of unhealthy weight and habits I have found myself.

To be honest, i feel pretty well the fittest (cardio and strength wise) I have ever felt physically. Its ironic because i’m also about the heaviest i’ve been. Go figure

I'd been looking for a gym to join and had tried several free trials over the preceding years. I was working full time in healthcare, had 3 small children, wasn't sleeping well and had put my recent illness down to burnout. Turns out my pancreas had gone 'kaput' and I had Type 1 diabetes. My GP said I needed to prioritise myself and that exercise would help, If I could just commit to 3 sessions a week of exercise other than carrying the physical and mental load of 5 people. I thought he was crazy and that how on earth could I fit anything more in but knew I needed to prioritise me. So, I walked in one 5 am class and have loved every moment in the gym since.
